Uniform
All students are required to wear the school uniform:
- Red sweatshirt, pullover, or cardigan
- White or red top, such as a polo shirt, blouse, t-shirt, or shirt
- Black or grey trousers or a skirt. Plain jogging bottoms or leggings are also acceptable.
- Sensible black footwear, including shoes, boots, or plain trainers. If sandals are worn in summer, they must be securely fastened. Flip flops and sliders are not permitted.
- Red gingham dresses or tailored shorts may be worn in the summer.
Please ensure all your child’s clothing is clearly labelled
You can buy your uniform directly from our supplier online (with school logos) www.brigade.uk.com or from many supermarkets and clothing stores. We also have a large amount of second-hand uniform in our family hub, which families are welcome to take and can donate what they can afford using ParentPay (the school’s online payment system).
PE Kit
For PE, children need black shorts, joggers, or leggings and a red or white t-shirt. Red sweatshirts may be worn in colder weather. At Hertford Primary, children wear their PE kit to school on PE days; class teachers will inform you of these days in September. A range of PE kits is available for purchase at www.brigade.uk.com. For indoor PE, children may wear plimsolls.
Forest School
On Forest School days, children do not need to wear a uniform. Please dress your child in weather-appropriate clothing that can get muddy. Suitable footwear is required: trainers in the summer (not sandals, as activities take place in the woods) and boots or wellington boots in the winter. If your child needs to borrow boots or waterproofs, please inform your child’s class teacher so arrangements can be made. Forest School takes place in all weather conditions.
