School Uniform

Uniform

The school has a uniform that all children are expected to wear:

  • Red sweatshirt or pullover/cardigan
  • White or red top (polo shirt, blouse, t-shirt or shirt)
  • Black or grey trousers or skirt (these can be plain jogging bottoms or leggings)
  • Sensible black footwear; shoes, boots or plain trainers (if wearing sandals in summer these must be securely attached to the foot – not flip flops or sliders)
  • Some children wear red gingham dresses or tailored shorts in the summer.

Please remember to clearly label all of your child’s clothing.

You can buy your uniform directly from our supplier online (with school logos) www.brigade.uk.com or from many supermarkets and clothing stores. We also have a huge amount of second-hand uniform, in our family hub which families are welcome to take, and can make a donation of what they can afford using ParentPay (the school’s online payment system).

PE Kit

For PE, children need black shorts, joggers or leggings and a red or white t-shirt, they can also wear their red sweatshirts if it’s cold. At Hertford Primary children wear their PE kit to school on PE days, the class teachers  will let you know which days these are in September. There is range of P.E kit that you can view and purchase on www.brigade.uk.com For indoor PE, children may wear plimsolls.

Forest School

On Forest School days your child does not have to wear uniform, they school wear clothing appriopriate for the weather but that you do not mind them getting muddy in! They must wear apprioriate footwear; trainers in the summer (not sandals as they are up in the woods) and boots/ wellie boots in the winter. If you child needs to borrow boots and waterproofs from the school on Forest School Days please let your child's class teacher know so that we can arrange this. We go out in ALL weathers!
